DDA MALI EXAM PATTERN

The selection in the post of Mali is totally based on an online written exam after the written exam candidate has to go for a skill test/ practical test.

 the written test will be online means on computer.

 there is negative marking in online exam one by third 1/3 marks will be cut if you have given the wrong answer.

 so  don’t give false answer.

One question will contain one marks

 the skill test/ practical test is only qualifying nature no marks will be given only you have to pass in a practical test.

later I will discuss what can be asked in skill test.

General Aptitude in Agriculture/ Horticulture (Matriculation Level)

dda mali syllabus Part-II: To measure the candidate’s reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, and proficiency in English and General Awareness.


a) Test of Reasoning

: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type.


This component may include questions on analogies, similarities, and differences, space visualization.


spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, Visual memory.


discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, and figural classification.

reasoning etc.


b) Test of Quantitative Aptitude

The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion.


Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and The allegation, Time and distance.

Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence and similarity of triangles.


Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Bar diagram & Pie chart.


c) Test of General Awareness

Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society.

Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person.

The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.


d) Test of English Language

Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on the spot the error.

fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting misspelled words, idioms & phrases.

one word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/indirect narration.

shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, cloze passage & comprehension passage.

dda mali Trade Test/ Practical Test (Qualifying in nature)

The operation, maintenance of tools & plants, weeding, hedges, pruning, planting, preparation of beds, identification of plants and preparation of compost/ vertical compost.

In the skill test of Mali  few things you must know

 1- how to plant a  tree

 2- how to plant a seed

 3-  how to dig ground

 4- names of many types of flowers and how to plant these Flower-like rose  Jasmine marigold etc.

 5- how to cultivate field
