Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (LMRCL),a 50:50 jointly owned Company of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh has been reconstituted as per the approval of the Government as single SPV by rechristening it as “Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (UPMRCL)”

EXAM PATTERN

the selection methodology will comprise two – stage process –

1- Written Test,

2 – document verification

3 – Medical examination.

WRITTEN EXAM SYLLABUS

Note:

1- Examination will be conducted through Online Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

2- Question paper will be bilingual i.e., in English and Hindi

3- It will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions

4 – There will be negative marking. For every wrong answer 1 /3 marks will be deducted.

5 – The Paper shall be of 2 hours duration.

6 – There will be a total of 140 questions

THERE ARE FOLLOWING TOPICS WILL COME IN WRITTEN EXAM.

English language,

25 QUESTIN 25 MARKS.

 General English & Comprehension. In addition to the testing of candidates understanding of English language, its vocabulary, grammar,

sentence structure, synonymous, antonyms, Comprehension and its correct usage etc.

General Awareness & Computer Applications,

25 QUESTIN 25 MARKS.

Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate‟s general awareness of the environment around him/ her and its application to society.

Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person.

The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene,

General Polity and Scientific Research, etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Logical Ability

25 QUESTIN 25 MARKS.

The Syllabus for General Intelligence would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type.

The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making,

visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, etc.

The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate‟s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships,

arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.

Quantitative Aptitude

25 QUESTIN 25 MARKS.

Quantitative Ability. This paper will include question on problems relating to Number Systems, Time & Work, Menstruation, Ratio and Proportion,

Average, Profit and Loss, Discount, Percentage, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Statistical Chart, Trigonometry, Geometry etc.
